Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday

Dragon Boat Festival in Mobile, Alabama starting at 8:00AM to 4:00PM tomorrow, Saturday, June 11th for a day of fun at the USS Alabama Memorial Park. There is a lot more to do than have fun on the water so be sure to view the links. These Hong Kong Dragon style boats hold around 20 people, so let the paddling begin.

The Battleship charges $2 for parking and admission into the Dragon Boat Festival will cost $3. Children under the age of 3 are free. The USS Alabama Memorial Park charges $15 for admission to enter if you want to visit their park.

The monies raised from the Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday will help Fuse Project to continue to support children in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.

Inaugural 5K and Fun Run on Saturday

GulfQuest presents its Inaugural Race to the River in Mobile. This 5K and Family Fun Run is next week on Saturday, June 18th. The start and finish lines for the Inaugural Race to the River 5K Run and Family Fun Run will be at Ft. Conde Village, before the race begins there will be activities, award ceremony and more. All will take place along the river in front of GulfQuest. Live music, lots of refreshments, including shrimp and grits, from The Galley, GulfQuest’s cafe and door prizes to be given out.

All registered 5k race and family fun run participants will be entered to win door prizes that include a GulfQuest Family Membership and a child’s awesome GulfQuest birthday party.
